Haru Okumura | Persona 5 Royal

A. Video? Network Post
[ At first there's nothing but a blank screen followed by a rather confused sounding young voice. ]

Oh dear... nothing still? oh...maybe it's this button...? [ she presses a button only to have absolutely everything turn off and go silent. A few minutes pass and then the recording comes back on and this time it shows a young woman with floofy hair smiling triumphantly. ]

Have I finally gotten it working correctly? [ She waves ] Hello, everyone! It's so lovely to get to talk to you all like this. [ As long as she did it right. She giggles lightly ] I'm certain this is obvious, but I'm afraid I'm not really very good with technology. [ It's a miracle she keeps up with the group chat, lets be real here. ]

Anyhow, I have a question I'd like to ask everyone! I know it's not the most important question to ask, but it would mean a lot to me to have a few opinions. I'd like to know everyone's favorite type of coffee! [ She looks at the camera with a very hopeful expression, as if it really were a super important question to her. ] I really do appreciate any answers at all! Thank you very much in advance!

[ She stumbles over settings for nearly a full minute before she finally figures out how to turn it off. ]

B. Crash Into Me
"Thank you for the information, Mr...oh I don't believe I caught your--" but before Haru could get the word 'name' out the small man was gone. Her face scrunched in a look of frustration that was almost impossible to take seriously. "That was terribly rude..." She'd have at least liked a name so she could have properly thanked him. Now she just felt strangely lost on what she should do. Truthfully, she found herself more overwhelmed than she'd felt in quite some time.

If only he was here... The thought jumped into her mind before she could even stop it.

"No, I can handle this on my own," she said in the firmest voice she could muster. "Though, first I really do need to stop talking to myself." She giggled at her own little joke on herself. Strange as it was talking to herself like this had certainly helped her feel a tiny bit less overwhelmed. Overwhelmed seemed like a fair reaction to the situation though. Perhaps she should have been frightened or panicked, but this wasn't her first time in another world.

Besides, the more she walked around the more quite and peaceful it seemed. Perhaps that was just because she was unconsciously comparing it to a Palace. By now, in a Palace, she'd have stumbled upon violent Shadows and twisted cognitions. However this place almost seemed...quaint? Yes, quaint was definitely the word for it. Really, it seemed like a perfect location for a tiny little café, perhaps like the one her grandfather had run.

"What a silly thought..." And so she'd circled back to talking to herself. It was a silly thought to have though. She knew far too little about this place to let her guard down like this. There might not be an immediate threats, but that didn't mean there were no threats hiding somewhere. Memories of recent events entered into her mind and she chastised herself for not being more focused. Things that might seem good and perfect always had flaws hidden in the cracks. She wouldn't fall for something like that again, even if it might seem like a nice thought.
