Test Drive 005
Here is our Fifth Test Drive Meme! There are a lot of areas of the city to explore, so please have a look around! In case you need a little help getting started, I've included a few prompts below, or feel free to start your own! Exploration and player initiative are the names of the game here!
Arrival & General Information | Setting & Bestiary | Locales & Businesses | Residences & Housing Info | Rules & FAQ (ask questions here!)
I. Crash Into MeNot exactly, but close enough. You have just arrived and received a strange satchel from a tiny, strange little man and are left more or less to your own devices (more information on what to expect upon arrival can be found here)! Follow directions to the north and check out the housing, or maybe have a look around the Historium and try to get some information from that giant glowing ball, see what you can waste your meager starter coin on in the Market District, or maybe just meet the neighbors.II. What Goes Bump in the Night
It looks like Aterat proper has a spirit problem. Maybe you're seeing specters, hearing disembodied voices, your windows rattle when there's no breeze outside. Maybe there are cold spots in your place of business (or your apartment, which is so much worse). Either way, you're 100% convinced you're haunted. Hopefully, someone else believes you, or maybe you're used to feeling crazy.III. A Mean, Green Mother from where now?
There's a pollen problem in the city, and by that we mean it's everywhere. Yellowish green pollen seems to be caked-on everything with the misfortune of being outside, whether it's windows, banisters, carts, you name it. If it's outside for a duration of time, it's a free game to have a layer of dust settled upon it, and it plays havoc on anyone who breathes it in. Allergic to pollen? Your allergies are horrible. Not allergic, well, you might just have the sniffles anyway, and another problem. You seem to be completely unable to tell a lie. Not only that, but you feel the overwhelming need to tell people things you'd usually keep to yourself. Maybe you like to put cream in your coca-cola (you monster) or maybe you've done something terrible and you really need to get it off your chest either in person or over the network.IV. Try the Network
The Tell-Phone allows for text, video, and audio transmissions to everyone else who has one. Give it a whirl!V. Wildcard
The above prompts are all options, and there's much more to the setting than what they provide. Do your best (or your worst)!

[But she was right, the three of them were here now and that was a lovely thing… They could all make up for lost time! And even if Jon wasn’t yet… Well, it seemed like people could arrive at any time. If he and Rhy had arrived so long ago, and now she was here… Who knew?]
I know I’m quite pleased to hear from you again. You’ve been greatly missed. I Um- I certainly look forward to seeing you to catch up on missed time.
[Darn if he isn’t feeling fidgety enough now to go see if he can find her!]
It will be nice to share our time in this place. It’s… complicated at times, but the upsides are rather nice compared to the Sphere. The sky, the weather! There are even animals here, in their natural habitats!

I would like that. Perhaps I can find new tea's in this city.
[It is a new whole new world to explore.]
Really? Perhaps I can get Lancelot a new friend. [She likes having animals around her. It's like another type of family.]

The selections in this world are quite nice, though I haven’t looked into tea myself… I’m sure you’ll find some that you would enjoy.
[Llewellyn’s attention shifted, though, at the mention of Lancelot.]
Did he arrive with you? Pretzel would be very happy to see his um- fellow long eared friend again. I’m afraid he’s been just as awkward with making friends here as he was in the last world.

[Her room had been filled with plants while she lived in the Sphere and she's likely to do the same here.]
Yes. I am sure Lancelot would be happy to see him as well. He had taken quite a shine to him. [He also misses Ghost, who would occasionally curl up with him.]

Indeed! I've been um- working part time at a garden shop and they have quite a variety. [He's very proud of his progress. It was an endeavour he might not have pursued if she hadn't encouraged his interest in flowers so long ago.] Oh- and I shall have a garden as well, in the spring. Rhy and I have begun looking for a house.
[And she would be invited to the garden regularly... Maybe he could even see about growing camellias for her to try making her own tea blends, as a welcome present.]
Then we'll have to get together, then the four of us can mm... Catch up!

I do not know how far off Spring is. I hope to see you both soon.
no subject
Well, it’s only been winter for a little while… But I arrived in the late spring last year, so I’m not sure how long it lasts here- But! You will certainly see us sooner than spring.
no subject
I hope you do not mind.
I truly want to see you but I have been told I live in a green building. I hope it is truly green.
no subject
I was assigned the blue building, though you’ll probably find me more easily in the red building where Rhy’s apartment is for now. [Just in case she decided to wander out and see what was around.] But! I will let you get to your new home, and I’ll look forward to when we can arrange to meet.

[She makes sure that she has what she needs before nodding her head. Much like Llewellyn, she doesn't realize that he can't see her. This is very different from the mental links they used to share within the sphere.]
I will find you once I get settled.
no subject
[That was honestly the truth, after spending so long with the mental link it was difficult to remember that the tell-phone’s worked differently. Nice to not have something stuck in your head, of course… But still odd to get used to.]
I look forward to it! I um- hope you and Lancelot take care.

[It takes her a solid minute of fumbling before she finally figures out how to end the call. The last thing he hears is a muffled 'sorry!' shouted distantly through the phone's receiver.]
