Test Drive 006
Here is our Fifth Test Drive Meme! There are a lot of areas of the city to explore, so please have a look around! In case you need a little help getting started, I've included a few prompts below, or feel free to start your own! Exploration and player initiative are the names of the game here!
Arrival & General Information | Setting & Bestiary | Locales & Businesses | Residences & Housing Info | Rules & FAQ (ask questions here!)
I. Crash Into MeNot exactly, but close enough. You have just arrived and received a strange satchel from a tiny, strange little man and are left more or less to your own devices (more information on what to expect upon arrival can be found here)! Follow directions to the north and check out the housing, or maybe have a look around the Historium and try to get some information from that giant glowing ball, see what you can waste your meager starter coin on in the Market District, or maybe just meet the neighbors.II. What Goes Bump in the Night
It looks like Aterat proper has a spirit problem. Maybe you're seeing specters, hearing disembodied voices, your windows rattle when there's no breeze outside. Maybe there are cold spots in your place of business (or your apartment, which is so much worse). Either way, you're 100% convinced you're haunted. Hopefully, someone else believes you, or maybe you're used to feeling crazy.III. When the Carnival Came to Town?
Take a look at the prompts from our latest event and go to town (or the carnival).IV. Try the Network
The Tell-Phone allows for text, video, and audio transmissions to everyone else who has one. Give it a whirl!V. Wildcard
The above prompts are all options, and there's much more to the setting than what they provide. Do your best (or your worst)!
A
[He can be supportive.]
But what are you planning?

Apologies for taking so long to reply. I'm not quite certain yet, but I was contemplating a few things. They're probably a bit silly though.

[He's realized a few things about this place: people arrive from different worlds, or different points in time from the same world. He texted because he wasn't sure he wanted to face a changed friend group, not a second time, but that was then.
Before she has a chance to respond, he switches the feed to audio.]
It's good to hear your voice. [A pause.] You can just hit reply.

Oh! Thank you. I think I've figured it all out now. [ She giggles. ] I've had a lot of silly ideas though. It's quite a relief to hear your voice as well.

[The only option in conversation with Haru is to be supportive, okay? Everything else is just mean.]
Just because your ideas seem silly doesn't mean they are. [Yeah, he'd been concerned he might be alone here. That...doesn't sit well with him.] Where are you? I can meet you.

That's very kind of you to say, Ren. [ Oh wait she just called him that and so she blushes but quickly moves on. ] I was looking around the markets! I can meet you somewhere if you're not close.

I can meet you there, Haru. [He used her name with no honorifics just to verify, and to let her know it was fine.] I'm not far. I'll see you outside the pub?

[ And waiting she would be. She had on a light green sundress that tied just below her bust and ended far above her knees. It was accentuated by a pair of light pink heels that wrapped around her ankles like ballet shoes. All in all it was fairly similar to the summer attire she wore back home. Both of her hands were folded in front of her as she looked back and forth down the path for his arrival. ]

He came into view with his hands in his pockets, fluffy black hair teasing around his eyes in the gentle breeze from passing carriages. He had his shoulder back slung over his shoulder, though it appeared a lot more empty than it usually did when Morgana was in tow.
A smile came to his face when his eyes found her and he raised a hand in greeting.]
There you are.

I'm glad you found me! I was worried you might get turned around.

[He couldn't help the smile that spread across his face at her antics. She really was the most adorable girl he'd ever met, though she was far from an innocent angel. That dark edge beneath her polite veneer was part of what he'd come to love about her after all.]
But you know me. I'm good at finding things. [And his Third Eye seemed to still be work here. That was useful.]
