Test Drive 006
Here is our Fifth Test Drive Meme! There are a lot of areas of the city to explore, so please have a look around! In case you need a little help getting started, I've included a few prompts below, or feel free to start your own! Exploration and player initiative are the names of the game here!
Arrival & General Information | Setting & Bestiary | Locales & Businesses | Residences & Housing Info | Rules & FAQ (ask questions here!)
I. Crash Into MeNot exactly, but close enough. You have just arrived and received a strange satchel from a tiny, strange little man and are left more or less to your own devices (more information on what to expect upon arrival can be found here)! Follow directions to the north and check out the housing, or maybe have a look around the Historium and try to get some information from that giant glowing ball, see what you can waste your meager starter coin on in the Market District, or maybe just meet the neighbors.II. What Goes Bump in the Night
It looks like Aterat proper has a spirit problem. Maybe you're seeing specters, hearing disembodied voices, your windows rattle when there's no breeze outside. Maybe there are cold spots in your place of business (or your apartment, which is so much worse). Either way, you're 100% convinced you're haunted. Hopefully, someone else believes you, or maybe you're used to feeling crazy.III. When the Carnival Came to Town?
Take a look at the prompts from our latest event and go to town (or the carnival).IV. Try the Network
The Tell-Phone allows for text, video, and audio transmissions to everyone else who has one. Give it a whirl!V. Wildcard
The above prompts are all options, and there's much more to the setting than what they provide. Do your best (or your worst)!

"Wait!"
Zack had been here for little more than minutes, and already weird stuff was happening. This wasn't Midgar, it wasn't much of any place he recognized actually. Worse, there had been a guy that had given him a bag and then had run off. Which meant Zack was just... left alone. Standing there. With a bag.
"Wait," he sighed, sagging a little before shoving the bag into his pocket unopened, "what's going on here? Man, this is stranger than normal."
IV - Tell-Phone | Text
Okay, so are there fan clubs here? Or maybe people who are really aware on things that are going on? Always helps to use those two sorts of things to find out more of what a place or people are like.
Also seriously, are there chocobos here? Where can I rent one? Are there any other than yellows? If I wanna go off into the forest I'm TOTALLY going to need a green!

He'd left the pup home because he didn't need to be out in this heat. And Angeal had done all he could to make a makeshift fan to keep it cooled. He'd even gone so far as to put ice cubes in the little guy's already cold water.
So he continued on and happened to come across the fountain. And he stopped dead in his tracks as he saw Zack standing there. Angeal blinked more than a few times and shook his head to try and make sure he wasn't making this up.
"Zack?"
no subject
And yet when Zack turned he grinned because yeah, there he was. His smile was wide, beaming. Beaming as he raised his hands over his head and waved vigorously at the older Soldier.
"Angeal! Is that you!?"
no subject
The last time he saw him..well it was on the battlefield which hadn't gone well. And he was on his way to go bring him to the Lifestream. Yet here Zack was standing in front of him.
"How is this possible?"
no subject
"Yeah, gotta ask you that myself. Uh, quick question. Is this, like, what the Lifestream looks like? Because it's sorta not what I imagined. Or what I'd heard described."
no subject
He personally had no idea Cloud and Aerith were here.
"What was the last thing you remember before coming here?"
This was important.
no subject
"Uh... yeah, kinda remember some stuff. A long truck ride."
Such an understatement.
no subject
"Did you forget your sword again Soldier?" Like that one time, but Angeal isn't sure he really wants the answer to this question.
no subject
"Didn't forget it. Just didn't exactly get a chance to pack up coming here. But it's okay. Guy I left it with, I know he's going to carry it well.

gonna close this given zack's in now
Crash into me
"Whaaaa?!" She fell hard on the stone walkway with a loud thump. "What kind of person just stands in the middle of the road?!"
Yuffie looked up and froze. Was this some weird dream?
"Z-zack?!"
no subject
It looked... familiar. Sorta? Huh, how weird was that? She kinda looked like this kid he once knew. At Fort Tamblin. And then... Fuck, the spam emails from Treasure Princes, then claiming to be anonymous repeatedly.
"Yuffie? Damn, you got taller. I think. Maybe? Or maybe you just look bigger when you're not in a huge city."
no subject
Was he a friend?
He was the closest thing she had to a friend until meeting Cloud and everyone.
"What are you doing here anyway? Is there a spiky hair convention I don't know about?"
no subject
"Oh, do you now? You look, what, fifteen?"
Of course he's got a teasing grin on his face, the same he'd use for Cissnei.
"What am I doing here? Damn, that's a question I wanna know too. Was on my way back to Midgar with a friend of mine and then... well, I'm here now. No convention I know of though."
no subject
"It's literally been years since I saw you." It's been almost a decade.
"Oh." Shit. "Right. Yeah that's the thing, isn't it? I showed up here like that. It's sorta all over the timeline or some sort of nonsense." Yuffie wanted to pout but she was truly happy to see Zack.
no subject
He doesn't know what to do with that.
"I mean, in my defense, I was sorta lying low for a while there," he said, rubbing the back of his head. Because, you know, uh, he wasn't going to admit just how that was? Because she was Wutaian, and would LIKELY point out that yeah, her people had been right, ShinRa evil and all that.
no subject
"I noticed." She was almost a stalker though in most cases she got her target to come to her. "Do you want to ask me how Wutai is now? Because we kicked ShinRa out and it finally doesn't suck anymore." She hasn't been home in a while but she checked in from time to time to make sure that they weren't having any trouble in the re-development.
no subject
"You did, huh? Good for you guys. Bet you did a lot of the work for that, Yuffie. Pretty proud of you," he said with a smile. It's easier to talk about that. "I'm sorry, you know, for all we did. Soldier and all of that."

Au with Somarium memories as discussed
Not being deterred, he'd heard there was really great tea shop and he was heading in that direction while he gathered his wits about him after being whisked out of yet another meeting. Britain also had overheard the locals speaking about what they thought was an herbal or wizard's shop and that was precisely where he was headed after tea. He'd only recently begun to feel better since he'd visited America on his birthday, a yearly occasion which made him ill. But perhaps they had some herbs that he was familiar with. It wouldn't do to be sick while trying to figure out what exactly was going on.
But then he turned and heard someone calling for someone to wait. Turning to look at the person who'd spoken, it took him a few moments, but he soon realized who it was that was standing there. England couldn't believe his eyes but the resemblance of the boy he's known in that other world was just uncanny.
And the other man had no idea how strange this was about to get for him.
"Zack?"
no subject
Some blonde kid. Not enough white clothes to be the ShinRa boy. Hair too reasonable to be Cloud. No one from home. Yep, totally blanking. He crossed his arms over his chest and tilted his head to the side curious.
"Yep, that's me. How'd ya guess? Wait, is everyone here named Zack?"
no subject
As it was, just seeing Zack now let a tide of memories he'd long since forgotten come back, like the time they fought back to back on a bridge, fighting enemies off. But again, the boy England had known was a lot shorter at the time.
So he smiled, and seeing him lifted Britain's spirits even if he was back in a strange world with this boy who had grown to a fine strapping young man. "I should certainly hope not everyone here in this world is named Zack. But it's great to see you again."
It was almost like when flying mint bunny and the gang came to see him after a hellish conference.
no subject
"You're from my fan club, right? That's how you know me?"
Because yeah, Zack doesn't recognize the kid in the slightest. So that's the best explanation he could come up with.
no subject
He's not sure whether to be mad, or offended or just plain lost here. This boy had certainly grown up alright.
no subject
"Or maybe I saved you during a mission?"
no subject
"A hero?" came out finally after trying to form a coherent sentence for a moment or five. And then he indignantly shook his head. "Bloody hero indeed. No you most certainly didn't save me. Do you not remember who I am?"
Something felt off and he had to try and piece it together although Arthur's mind was racing.
that earned this icon, indeed
Why was this such a big problem?
oh no..
