Test Drive 006
Here is our Fifth Test Drive Meme! There are a lot of areas of the city to explore, so please have a look around! In case you need a little help getting started, I've included a few prompts below, or feel free to start your own! Exploration and player initiative are the names of the game here!
Arrival & General Information | Setting & Bestiary | Locales & Businesses | Residences & Housing Info | Rules & FAQ (ask questions here!)
I. Crash Into MeNot exactly, but close enough. You have just arrived and received a strange satchel from a tiny, strange little man and are left more or less to your own devices (more information on what to expect upon arrival can be found here)! Follow directions to the north and check out the housing, or maybe have a look around the Historium and try to get some information from that giant glowing ball, see what you can waste your meager starter coin on in the Market District, or maybe just meet the neighbors.II. What Goes Bump in the Night
It looks like Aterat proper has a spirit problem. Maybe you're seeing specters, hearing disembodied voices, your windows rattle when there's no breeze outside. Maybe there are cold spots in your place of business (or your apartment, which is so much worse). Either way, you're 100% convinced you're haunted. Hopefully, someone else believes you, or maybe you're used to feeling crazy.III. When the Carnival Came to Town?
Take a look at the prompts from our latest event and go to town (or the carnival).IV. Try the Network
The Tell-Phone allows for text, video, and audio transmissions to everyone else who has one. Give it a whirl!V. Wildcard
The above prompts are all options, and there's much more to the setting than what they provide. Do your best (or your worst)!

She pushes a few stray strands of white hair off of her shoulder, and shakes it for good measure. "Ah. Brought here without consent." A frown tugs at her lips. "I am Fran, hailing from Ivalice."
no subject
"Jagger, hailing from, er, Earth, I guess." He nodded. "Nice to meet you, Fran."
no subject
"Earth. I am not familiar with that realm." She moves closer to him, actually going to stand next to him to look over the wares offered. "Is there also a stall for weaponry? Whatever has pulled me here failed to allow my weapon."

She was taller than him, he noted, and it wasn't just the heels, either, or the ears. She was lithe, sinuous without being thin, and something about her presence was intimidating and alien while simultaneously being exotic and fascinating. When she was near enough to register on his psychic feelers, he also got the impression she was older than she looked.
Or maybe it was just her armor. He'd have to touch her to be sure and he wasn't about to do that. It was rude. Also, those nails of hers looked sharp.
"There are a few people here who aren't familiar with Earth, and I don't know Ivalice, either, so I guess we're square. Just Jagger's fine, so long as just Fran's fine with you." Weapons weren't his strong suit, he didn't even own one, but he knew where to direct her. "Down in the harbor district there's a blacksmith. Might be a place to start."
no subject
"Fran is my name, thus it is fine," she points out. Viera didn't really work with last names, unless 'of the Wood' counted. But surnames were pointless for a culture that didn't leave the shelter of their forest. "Jagger is your name, unless you have a surname you have not yet spoken." Humes seemed to like their last names, especially in those of noble houses.
Bunansa.
Rosenburg.
Solidor.
Because saying your first name and the city you hailed from wasn't enough.
"I look to have a bow. Would there be a stall for such a merchant there?" Fran didn't want to be too vulnerable in this new city.

"So yeah, Jagger and Fran." He nodded. "Just down the way, near the other weapons vendors." He nodded his head in that direction. "There's a fletcher who sets up shop there most days."
