Test Drive 006
Here is our Fifth Test Drive Meme! There are a lot of areas of the city to explore, so please have a look around! In case you need a little help getting started, I've included a few prompts below, or feel free to start your own! Exploration and player initiative are the names of the game here!
Arrival & General Information | Setting & Bestiary | Locales & Businesses | Residences & Housing Info | Rules & FAQ (ask questions here!)
I. Crash Into MeNot exactly, but close enough. You have just arrived and received a strange satchel from a tiny, strange little man and are left more or less to your own devices (more information on what to expect upon arrival can be found here)! Follow directions to the north and check out the housing, or maybe have a look around the Historium and try to get some information from that giant glowing ball, see what you can waste your meager starter coin on in the Market District, or maybe just meet the neighbors.II. What Goes Bump in the Night
It looks like Aterat proper has a spirit problem. Maybe you're seeing specters, hearing disembodied voices, your windows rattle when there's no breeze outside. Maybe there are cold spots in your place of business (or your apartment, which is so much worse). Either way, you're 100% convinced you're haunted. Hopefully, someone else believes you, or maybe you're used to feeling crazy.III. When the Carnival Came to Town?
Take a look at the prompts from our latest event and go to town (or the carnival).IV. Try the Network
The Tell-Phone allows for text, video, and audio transmissions to everyone else who has one. Give it a whirl!V. Wildcard
The above prompts are all options, and there's much more to the setting than what they provide. Do your best (or your worst)!

He grinned. "I been to Miami once or twice, and I bet you did." He crossed his arms, though, thoughtful. "You a part of a team or just a fan?"
no subject
"Lived there for a while without doing any shows. It was a nice vacation." Kind of. Well, not really. It was kind of a disaster but that was her life. She rubbed the back of her neck. "Uh. Kinda pat of a team. It's complicated."
no subject
"English." He chuckled, well aware it was not his first language and that his everyday speech was less than articulate. "I know, I don't sound like I could write my way out of a wet paper sack, but I might surprise you, cher."
He nodded, a commiserative gesture. "Ain't it always complicated?"
no subject
"English was uh, definitely not what I'd have guessed." But she laughed and her tone was light. "I learned a long time ago that looks are usually pretty deceiving."
no subject
He laughed, too. "Pretty sure it's the job nobody else wanted, but that's how it rolls sometimes." He shrugged. "So, what's the superhero community call you, eh? I'm Gambit, though that's a nickname that goes back longer than my heroin' days."
no subject
"Uh, Voodoo," she said with a smile. "It was my stage name before and I just kinda stuck with it. Ended up working out pretty well." Given all she learned she could do. "So...what can you do, Gambit?"
no subject
"Voodoo, eh?" It had a nice ring to it, and depending on her power set...well, he had no idea what she might mean by 'working out pretty well. At her question, though, he grinning. "I make things blow up." It was part of a cat and mouse game he used to play, his tone leading. Go on, ask. "What about you, Voodoo? What tricks you got up your sleeves?"

"My mutant ability is tappin' in to the potential energy in anything, and gettin' it all excited." A flick of his wrist and the pebble flew skyward, popping once it reached a height of ten or so feet, the sound not unlike those little white fireworks you used to throw at the pavement as a child. "Clearer?"

"And what about you, eh? What tricks you got up your sleeves?"
no subject
"Complicated ones," she said as she slid a hand onto her him and quirked her lips. "Do you really wanna be bored with an explanation?"
